Tips for a Secure Password
Separate password for each login - Do not use the same password for different websites and accounts.
Password Strength - Use a minimum of 16 characters, with at least one uppercase, one lowercase, one number, and one special character.
Don't make it personal - Do not put identifying information into your passwords. This means no birthdays, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
Random is the best - Using words found in the dictionary make it easier for criminals to figure out your password.
Use 2FA - Two factor authentication should be used when it can.
Do not share - A reputable customer service representative will never ask for your password. Never give out your password over the phone.
Storing Passwords - Using a locally installed password database that unlocks with a strong master password is preferred. Do not store passwords in your browser or in cloud services.
HTTPS - Verify the websites you are logging in to have an encrypted connection. Otherwise your password can be found by someone intercepting the request.
